There are parts for this mounted in the reciever.the RH rear and is visable as a "finger" that levers up when the trigger is pulled rearward.

Your slide is a Colt 1911 slide I would guess a date of 1914-1918 time frame (I may be off a bit). I've owned my auto ordnance army ww 2 copy since New in '05. Your FJA and ord stamp, and "P" match the ones I have on my Remington Rand made in 1944. It list your frame as a Remington Rand made in 1943.
